When it comes to designing your home, I’m an absolute proponent of doing things correctly the first time, even if that means saving your pennies over the years and it taking a little longer to implement. And while I absolutely believe you can mix higher end items with lower end ones… In fact, it’s something I encourage as it helps create a more dynamic and interesting space, there is one area that I always insist my clients splurge on. And that area is… window treatments. There is just something about custom tailored drapery, not unlike a tailor-made suit, that instantly makes a space feel luxurious. Truly. Twelve years in the industry, and I’ll never fail to be amazed at the difference custom drapery makes the moment it’s installed. And while it’s definitely costly, especially if you’re tackling multiple rooms at once, it really does make all of the difference in the world when all is said and done.

Off-the-shelf drapes are not well-made. It isn’t hard to make drapes, either. And they should last years if they are lined (to keep the fabric from sun damage).
Do you have a go to company or store for your custom drapes?!
I would love your recommendations as well! Especially in the Montreal area?
Yes! Window treatments can make or break the room design.
